Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-07-25

This policy explains how LIKING ("we") collects, uses, stores, shares and protects your personal information when you use the LIKING app, website and related services, and what rights you have over that information. Please read it before using the service.

1. Information we collect

Account data: email address and display name. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier from Apple plus whatever name and email you choose to share — if you hide your real address, we only ever receive Apple's private relay address.

Identity verification (KYC) data: collected when you start a consignment, request a payout, or cross a compliance threshold, for anti-money-laundering and seller verification.

Transaction data: orders, bids and auction records, consignment mandates and payout records, coupons and referral rewards. Full payment credentials such as card numbers are collected and processed directly by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

Content you upload: card images you upload when scanning or photographing a card, and your conversations with Aida.

Device and usage data: device model and OS version, app version, language and region settings, crash and error logs, and a push notification token (only if you enable notifications).

We do not collect precise location, and we do not read your contacts, your whole photo library, or your messages. Camera access is used only for captures you initiate.

2. How we use it

To provide the service: sign-in and identity, listing and matching trades, generating settlement and payout records, shipping and after-sales.

Card recognition and market analysis: images you upload are used to identify the card and match it against our card database and market data. Aida's valuations and suggestions are computed from public sales comparables and are reference information only — they are not investment advice and not a commitment to trade.

Security and compliance: fraud prevention, anomalous-login detection, and meeting legal, regulatory and tax obligations.

Notifications: only when you have enabled the relevant switch, for events such as being outbid, price-drop alerts, drop events opening, and order status. You can turn each one off at any time under Account → Notifications.

Product improvement: aggregated, de-identified usage analysis. We do not sell your conversations or use them for ad targeting.

3. Sharing with third parties

We share only what is necessary, with the following categories of processors, and require protection no weaker than this policy:

· Payments: Stripe (authorisation, capture, refunds, auction fund holds). · Sign-in: Apple (identity verification for Sign in with Apple). · Image and file storage: Alibaba Cloud OSS (card images you upload). · AI conversation service: to generate Aida's replies, your question text and links to relevant card images are sent to our AI service provider. Please do not type sensitive personal data such as ID or bank card numbers into the conversation. · Sourcing and market data: to show cross-market price comparisons and proxy-bid status we call public marketplace APIs such as eBay's; no personally identifying information about you is sent to them. · Logistics and compliance vendors: only as needed for shipping, customs clearance and KYC checks.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cross-border transfers

LIKING is a cross-border marketplace for graded cards. To complete cross-market matching, payment and shipping, your information may be transferred to, stored and processed outside your own country or region (including both inside and outside mainland China). We apply the transfer mechanisms and safeguards required by applicable law. If you are located in mainland China, any outbound transfer of your personal information will be subject to separate consent as required by the PIPL.

5. Retention

Account data: kept until you delete your account. Transaction and settlement records: retained as required by tax and commercial law (typically no less than 5 years from completion) and unlinked from your identity after account deletion. KYC materials: retained for the period required by anti-money-laundering rules. Card images and conversation history: kept until you delete your account, or removed when you delete the relevant conversation. Logs: generally no longer than 12 months.

6. Your rights

You may access and correct your account details, turn off any notification category at any time, and request a copy of your transaction records.

You can permanently delete your account at any time under Account → Delete account. On deletion we erase your personal profile and revoke all sign-in methods (including the Apple sign-in link); transaction records we are legally required to keep are unlinked from you. This action cannot be undone.

To exercise these rights or raise any privacy question, contact support@liking.com.

7. Children

The service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information; if you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes we update the date at the top, and for material changes we notify you in-app or by push. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated policy.
